Confessions of a Fractured Fairytale.



Once Upon a time,there lived a king and queen.They lived in a castle in Malaysia.One fine day,the queen gave birth to a baby girl who was named, Alice.The king and queen held a party for everyone in the kingdom to celebrate the birth of the child.

In the kingdom,there were crowds of people pushing one another to see the new born baby.At that time,the king and queen were delighted,as well as excited because they could not wait for good witch, Maleficient ,to give her best wishes to Alice.At first she gave her the gift of beauty;next she gave her the gift of song.However,just as she was giving Alice her third wish,three wicked fairies came and told everyone in the kingdom,"By her sixteenth birthday,she will eat a bowl of laksa with a lot of spicy meatballs and faint." Soon,the three wicked fairies vanished into thin air.Maleficent told the queen that Alice will not die.Instead,she would fall into a deep sleep,together with the whole kingdom.However,with a slap from a prince,she would wake up.

Maleficient suggested that shewould look after Alice in the woods.The queen and king did not want to let their daughter go first.However,after discussing about it,they thought it was better for their daughter to go with Maleficient.They both said a final goodbye and kissed their baby.They were sad and disappointed but they knew thay had done the right thing.During the nightMaleficient took Alice into the woods and they began a new life in a cottage.Alice had been living there since.

When Alice was taken to live in the cottage,her name was changed to Briar Rose.On her sixteenth birthday,Maleficient asked Briar Rose to go to the woods and find saome wild berries while she made cake and gowns with her magic.While walking through the woods Briar thougt of a song which she had heard of.While singing,a prince named Prince Philip heard her sweet voice.He came riding towards the source of the voice,riding on his horse.He Briar face to face and introduced hinself to her.He also complimented her on her sweet voice.

They both danced through the woods until Briar remembere the wild berries Maleficinet wanted.She said goodbye to prince Philip and quickly went back to the cottage.When she reached home she told Maleficient about whatt happened while she was out picking berries.Maleficient the told her that she was actually a princess and her real name was Alice.Maleficient then told her about her childhood.The next day Alice and Maleficient went to Prince Philip's castle.While setting the wedding date,Alice became hungry and ate a bowl of laksa while spicy meatballs.Suddenly,she fainted as there was a type of substance in the laksa.Maleficient was shocked but colud not do anything except to wait for prince philip,as he went of to buy the wedding gift.The whole kingdom was asleep.When prince philip returned,he saw that on the outside of the castle,there were torns and sharp twigs.He used his sword to break his way through.When he reached the room where alice was,he gave her a slap on the cheek and suddenly,she woke up.The whole kingdom woke up,as a result of his act.

Soon they were married and they lived happily ever after(:
